| The word "first" applies to Whimsey. When I met her at the
age of 12 weeks it was love at first sight. Our connection was instantaneous
and complete. She went on to become my first champion, gain my first
group placement as a handler, produce my first champions as a breeder,
and recently, enjoy herself mightily as the first Veteran I have ever shown.
Whimsey never met a soul that she didn't like. Her sweet, friendly personality made her an ambassador for the breed as well as a joy to live with. Always a happy girl, she loved to show, covering the ground with a fluid, effortless trot that could go all day. She relished the adventure of each show, being a curious and outgoing bloodhound, and took joy in the opportunity to make new friends and show the world how much fun life could be. Whimsey's type, movement and confidence carry on in her offspring. Now she enjoys retirement on the couch or out in the yard supervising the pack. If I am very lucky, I will share a lot more Veteran's classes with her... Whatever the future holds, Whimsey will forever be first in my heart. Owners-Camille McArdle, DVM and Joan Atkinson
